Artist Trading Card

Here is an artist trading card I did. I like the way she turned out with accidental freckles on her nose. :)

Bunny Love

This is my bunny for the February True Free Spirit class. I always attempt to start out with a sweet bunny face, I don't know how I always end up with a mischievous quirky Jordan look!

February - Quirky Collage Girl

This is the February lesson in Mindy's class. I'm not exactly thrilled with the outcome, but not disappointed either. I keep telling myself - this is a learning process to find my style too. So here she is -

Mindy Lacefield - True Free Spirit Class

I finally did it - I broke down and treated myself and joined Mindy's class. It's a year long with a new project every month. I've done January's painting so far. It is very challenging to me. the concept of the face with all the shading is way out of my comfort zone, but I am determined to stick with it. And I am loving it! I get very disappointed at times and frustrated, but when it works . . . i like it.

So here is my January piece.

Trying a New Style

Lately I have been attracted to the style of Mindy Lacefield - Tim's Sally . I don't know what is about it, but I really  like it. So I thought I would try it myself. Here are a couple of attempts.

I like the second one best. i need to find some better lighting to take photos in the house.

Christmas Tag 2

I've taken lots of pictures, but I can't seem to get them posted. Getting ready for Christmas is keeping me busy!

Christmas Tree

This was inspired by an article in Somerset Studio Nov.- Dec 2012. The piece was done by Janet Bergen Movahhed. I fell in love with it and had to try it myself.

It's a collaged canvas with distressed Christmas music, various pieces of cloth and lace, vintage buttons, safety pin, and paper flowers I made.

Thanksgiving is past ...

Thanksgiving was full of good food. Tom and I had a wonderful meal, (even though I still have no oven). You would be amazed at what you can cook in a tiny toaster oven! The only thing missing was the rest of my family and believe me - I do miss them! ALOT!

So now it's time for getting ready for Christmas! My favorite time of the year. The lights are all up on the outside of the house and in the windows. I decorated the tree on Thanksgiving day , and little by little I'm getting the rest of the decorations up and working on Christmas art projects. Here are some photos I took with my phone.
