One more Art Journal page. The photo in the center is Tom one early morning in Sante Fe Lake . The sun was obscured mostly by smoke from the wild fires. Thankfully it has started to rain a lot here this week.

New Journal

I've been working on making a journal for the last few weeks. I have tons of bird pictures and I decided to use them to make a journal. I made my pages skinnies. I took a drawing pad that belonged to Mom ( A Strathmore Alexis Drawing Pad 400-8 18 x 24 - 24 sheets - bought for $3.82 at Looboyles) and tore 8x8 pages. I took the bird pictures and various other digital products using Photoshop Elements, worked up the pages and after much frustration with my printer printed the pages on the 8x8 sheets. They all were made and printed very lightly so as to be background pages to be used for journaling. I designed the cover and and used gel medium to glue it to thin card board. I used the Coptic Stitch for the binding which allows the book to lay open flat to work in. I don't think the pictures do it justice. It looks much better in person. This was a fun project and I'm sure I'll make more!
