Ginger Blooms
A friend of mine gave me some ginger roots a few years ago. I planted them (of course) and they came up and made real nice plants. I thought I had lost them this year because they were real late coming up after the winter. So now they are beginning to bloom.
I really don't know what they will look like when they are fully bloomed.

Wow! Those are awesome! I would not have expected a flower to pop out of those pods.
Very cool. I wonder if ginger would grow in AZ. I'll have to investigate....
