February - Quirky Collage Girl

This is the February lesson in Mindy's class. I'm not exactly thrilled with the outcome, but not disappointed either. I keep telling myself - this is a learning process to find my style too. So here she is -

Mindy Lacefield - True Free Spirit Class

I finally did it - I broke down and treated myself and joined Mindy's class. It's a year long with a new project every month. I've done January's painting so far. It is very challenging to me. the concept of the face with all the shading is way out of my comfort zone, but I am determined to stick with it. And I am loving it! I get very disappointed at times and frustrated, but when it works . . . i like it.

So here is my January piece.

Gardening

It's that time of year again! I missed out last year, but I'm back at it again. I started some seedlings in January and it's time to separate and put into bigger pots. I've got tomatoes (waaaay to many), peppers (not enough), lettuce, and two or three kinds of flowers. One more month and we can put them in the ground.
