Necessity is -

the mother of invention. It all started with an ugly cable wire strung across the wall right at eye level.
The idea for the design came from this post -  Art Journaling 101 - Faux Printing on Dictionary Pages
It is made so you can take it apart and change the papers on the panels.

New Kids

Lately I decided to try my hand at sketching some things. Here are my latest -

and now I'm trying to make them into stamps -

It's fun -the stamps turn out so different than the drawings!

Where The Heart Is by Billie Letts

I don't usually recommend books, but this one I do. I found this as a Staff Pick in my local library, and when I found out it was based in the small corner of the world I grew up in, I had to give it a try. The timeline is back when the economy was worse than it is now. It's about a young girl down on her luck and the goodness of people living in the small towns of middle America. so if you want a short read - feel good story, check it out. And if you are passing through the area, look around, you just might see my heart.

Comments

I've been told that there was a problem with posting comments using Internet Explorer. I think I've got the problem fixed now! ;D
